What I liked best about your school was the personal attention I received when I needed help finding a job. You helped me land my ideal job at the perfect downtown club and followed up with me numerous times. I'm happy to endorse your course as an excellent method to become a bartender!

Professional Bartending School has an exclusive marketing agreement with PSCC, the Professional Server Certification Corporation.

PSCC provides training to restaurants and bars nationwide, including state-specific
Alcohol Seller/Server Training.

This allows us to issue state-approved alcohol seller/server certificates online including TABC (Texas) and Basset (Illinois), Wisconsin D.O.R., and Utah DSAMH certifications.

PSCC can offer alcohol server training at lower prices that any online competitor or reseller.

How long does the course take?
The course is based on a 40 hour course that is the standard for bartender training across the nation. In fact, we have used this exact course to train thousands of bartenders at brick-and-mortar schools since 1987. The course time is broken up into about 12 hours for course instruction, 8 hours for memorization with flash cards, and taking practice tests, while the rest of the time is used for practicing making drinks. With this course you can take your time or push yourself through quickly. There are no constraints!

Why do I need a home practice kit?
The practice kit is an important part of bartender training because you need to practice with the tools you will use in a bar. That is why bartending schools are set up like actual bars. It allows the students to practice their drinks. To get the most out of this course, we recommend adding the super deluxe practice kit which includes bottles, glassware, and store 'n pour containers. You can purchase our complete kits for a fraction of the cost of buying the items separately.

Do I need alcohol server certification to bartend?
Some areas require alcohol seller/server certification to ensure that employees understand the liquor laws in their state and serve alcohol responsibly. This is separate from bartender training and requires a short class approved by a liquor control board. We offer an inexpensive, state-specific alcohol server certification course you can take online that will satisfy the requirements in most areas. You are not required to take a server course before you are hired, but getting certified now can help you stand out from other job applicants who don't have this alcohol server training.
